Buckle up, buster, because Tape Lab is dropping a surprise sonic bombshell—Techno Tape—set to invade stores on February 2, 2024. It's a deep dive into the gritty, heart-pounding realm of techno, and yeah, it’s as relentless as it sounds.
TECHNO TAPE isn’t your average, run-of-the-mill collection despite its objectively bad name. This beast spans a whopping 5 years of Tape Lab’s history, gathering forgotten or ignored earworms and some of our most esoteric fumblings. We’re talking long-form, hard-hitting techno, unapologetically Tape Lab.
We're dragging out the big guns with the legendary Tilt Controls Trilogy (yes, volumes I, II, and III) recorded live on tape way back in the raw, unfiltered days of 2021. These underground tracks capture the raw energy of those sweat-soaked sessions in North Carolina.
But wait, there’s more. We’ve also excavated Ratchet Season Dreamcast and its bolder, brasher sibling, Ratchet Season Dreamcast 2: HD Harder, from the digital depths. Two newer sneaky releases have also been included, Rental Haus and Psi-Clique.

TECHNO TAPE flirts with a smorgasbord of genres – from house to trance and from downtempo to breakbeat. But let's be real – it’s mostly about good ol’ unadulterated techno.
