What is #TapeLabTuesday?

So glad you asked!

Tape Lab is always churning out content and lurching forever forward. Upward, not downward. Not upward, but backward #AlwaysTwirling. Despite the prolific production line at Tape Lab, we have sometimes struggled with consistently maintaining a public presence, often leaving our public confused, if not curious, about what's cooking at the Tape Lab Factory.

Can't wait till next week? Luckily, we have a maze-like complex of content filled with lore, lost media, FOIA requests, secret links, runic codices. All of that content awaits beneath the door in the databasement

We've always hoped to have a big Willy Wonka-like expose—complete with golden tapes—but simply lack the real estate. Instead, #TapeLabTuesday #TLT is an effort to stay in touch! We're working on plenty of new projects that are coming in Holiday 2023 and look forward to being more in touch.

So much of our early music and self-critical acclaim was born from limitations and pushing up against a boundary #UnlimitedConstraints, so the weekly schedule is a time constraint. If anything, there is a vast trove of Tape Lab content that our publishers and sponsors are eager for us to dive deeper into.

JUST RELEASED:

FROM THE ARCHIVE:

  • JamalotovClassic CD+ beat. It is one of our most popular tracks, and closest to a viral sound we have made. This one gets played a lot on TikTok. What do you think?

Final thoughts and inspiration come from the historic bi-partisan leaders Kang & Kal.

"We must go forward, not backward. Upward, not downward. And always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom."

See you again next week!

TapeLab

Welcome to #TapeLab—stay a while and listen. Founded in 2017 by lifelong friends, Tape Lab is a collective of artists and a hub for innovation, always open to collaboration. With the zeal of a self-published memoir, our sound is our own, but you can be the decider. We make music and art that sounds like it was fun to make and stands out in a sea of bland beats.

As independent artists, we are always exploring new ways to expand our audience and find new creative outlets—especially with other undiscovered artists!

#TapeLab is currently based out of two headquarters in Durham, NC, and The Hamptons, NY.
