In what is now an annual tradition (at least according to one member of Tape Lab), February 2nd has been officially recognized as “2yng2smpl’s 2Day”—a day dedicated to celebrating the chaos, unconventional misinformation, and undeniable impact of 2yng2smpl, the enigmatic sound manipulator.
This marks the third year of 2yng2smpl’s 2Day, which, appropriately, began on February 2, 2022, with little fanfare but maximum significance.
“It’s about more than just me,” insists 2yng2smpl. “It’s a reminder that limitations are fake, samples are infinite, and that sometimes, you just have to trust the process—even when it sounds broken.”

Skeptical Takes from the Collective
While 2yng2smpl is all in on the celebration, not everyone in Tape Lab was aware that this was even a thing.
CD+ (Tape Lab’s meticulous sound engineer and gear whisperer) seemed genuinely surprised by the existence of this holiday: “Wait… this is the third year? Did I miss a meeting? I mean, sure, I respect 2yng2smpl’s whole thing, but do we really need a day for it?”
SPNF!N!TY, always questioning reality, was equally unconvinced: “This feels like one of those things where if we acknowledge it, it becomes real… but I also refuse to believe it’s not just a running joke that got out of hand.”
Despite the skepticism, 2yng2smpl remains unfazed. “Skeptics are just fans who haven’t admitted it yet,” they say.

Like all great underground movements, 2yng2smpl 2Day thrives on word-of-mouth, shared files, and late-night studio revelations.
