Talking Tape Blab, a Cassette Tape Guide

For reasons lost to me, it's so hard for me to write about Tape Lab. Although it's easily the longest and most fulfilling creative project I’ve ever worked on, I have consistently struggled to explain what it is coherently.

Despite my job as a copywriter, I can't seem to find the groove when I write about Tape Lab. Maybe owed to how close to heart the topic is, or much scarier, there really just isn’t much to say. The latter is ludicrous—I love talking about Tape Lab. Ask anyone who ever asked me about it, and they’ll tell you.

But talking and writing are not the same.

Writing about something so personal isn’t easy, but this blog is an attempt at it. More than anything, Tape Blab is intended to keep the Tape rolling!

You can expect stories about how songs and albums were created, tips on recording to tape, new releases, links to secret and unreleased materials.

Also, this Cassette Tape Blog will provide comprehensive guide for how to record audio onto tape and how to get the best sounding audio tapes for every purpose.

TapeLab

Welcome to #TapeLab—stay a while and listen. Founded in 2017 by lifelong friends, Tape Lab is a collective of artists and a hub for innovation, always open to collaboration. With the zeal of a self-published memoir, our sound is our own, but you can be the decider. We make music and art that sounds like it was fun to make and stands out in a sea of bland beats.

As independent artists, we are always exploring new ways to expand our audience and find new creative outlets—especially with other undiscovered artists!

#TapeLab is currently based out of two headquarters in Durham, NC, and The Hamptons, NY.
