“It’s too cerebral.” Sure, but we believe in our audience! Our latest RELUX REWINDED project comes from an old Efland favorite, Behind Mind Head.
Originally recorded in early 2020, the source material required little editing, save for separating the tracks. Recorded using an old Casio keyboard and Kaossillator, you can feel the energy, the cheepniss, the love.
Kicking off the EP is the self-titled Behind Mind Head Single. Based on the classic Bowfinger movie, starring the legendary Kit Ramsey, the lyrics are an improvised glimpse inside, behind the mind of CD+. Recorded live, CD+ delivers some of Tape Lab's best vocals to date.
Evoking the kind of brainlessness that we sometimes crave, "Can you think my thoughts for me?" is a poignant question. Especially in light of endless torrents of information, can we even think our own thoughts?

Super clean, smooth, and approachable. Kicking off with a catchy banjo loop and blending into a driving synth base and percussive bleeps and boops.
Imagine yourself as a cursor, sliding across the land, looking to select your destination.
